We are pleased to announce that Performance Running Outfitters is the official Training Partner of the Brewers Mini-Marathon! Performance Running Outfitters is locally owned by Trae and Jessica Hoepner, who together have over 20 years of coaching and 30 years of running expertise.  

The information below is in regards to the 2016 training program.  Check back for information regarding the 2017 training program! 

 

 

 

 


Brewers Mini-Marathon Training Program

Saturdays 7:30 AM - Brookfield PRO
Are you looking to go to the next level with your running? Our Half Marathon program is geared towards the moderately fit runner who has already finished a 5k or 10k and wants more of a challenge with our weekly motivation. This is a progressive course which will focus on completing a longer distance each week. PRO will provide a training program, weekly emails with motivation and necessary information for new runners and accomplished runners looking for accountability and company on long runs.  Completing a Half Marathon will be a rewarding start to your future racing!

It is recommended that you can run 4 miles before beginning this program and have an “ok” from a medical professional with a clean bill of health.  During the program the group will meet on Saturdays each week.  Running looking for additional group support are encouraged to join our PRO SPEED Class or other group runs. 

Program Participants will  receive:

  • Tech Tee 
  • Weekly emails with advice from coach 
  • Complete 12 week training plan
  • PRO Coupon 
  • Video Gait analysis with footwear recommendation
  • Seminars on cadence & speed, nutrition & hydration, etc

 


Brewers 10K Training Program

Wednesdays 6:30 PM - Brookfield PRO
Have you completed a 5k and want to challenge yourself with a farther distance? Our 10k 101 program is designed by our in-house certified running coach and geared towards runners that have completed a 5k or are comfortable running 3 miles. This is a progressive course which will focus on completing a longer distance each week.  The 10k Class is offered ONLY at our Brookfield location.Wednesdays 6:30 PM - Brookfield PRO - Starts July 6th

It is recommended that you can run 3 miles before beginning this program and have an “ok” from a medical professional with a clean bill of health. Runners looking for additional group support are encouraged to attend our Shorewood Tuesday 6 a.m. or Brookfield Saturday 8:30 a.m. fun runs. 

Program Participants will receive:

  • Weekly outside training runs focused on endurance development and increasing mileage 
  • Pacing guidelines to help you properly train within YOUR ability 
  • Groups accountability and focus 
  • Weekly training topics and email support from a certified coach 
  • Support from running mentors on each run
  • AND you also get a free PRO training shirt and a pair of running socks!

Topics on how to properly train including: 

  • Good Form Running Clinic 
  • Foam Rolling and Recovery 
  • Proper nutrition for pre & post runs 
  • Summer Apparel 101: make the temperatures and your training more bearable! 

Brewers 5K Training Program

Tuesdays 6:00 PM - Shorewoord PRO

Wednesdays 6:30 PM - Brookfield PRO

Do you want to complete a 5K and don’t know where to begin? Then this is the class for you! Our Get Fit 5k 101 program is geared towards beginning runners or runners who have taken a break from consistent training and want to get back in shape. This is a progressive course which will focus on completing a longer distance each week. The class will finish by running 3.1 miles in a local race! Completing a 5k will be just the beginning steps towards an improved lifestyle!

It is recommended that you can walk for 30 minutes before beginning this program and have an “ok” from a medical professional with a clean bill of health. 

Program Participants will receive:

  • Weekly outside training runs focused on endurance development and increasing mileage 
  • Pacing guidelines to help you properly train within YOUR ability 
  • Groups accountability and focus 
  • Weekly training topics and email support from a certified coach 
  • Support from running mentors on each run. 
  • AND you also get a free PRO training shirt and a pair of running socks!
